 Nancy Rue Book Giveaway

For years, when looking for fiction for my daughter, or books to help her navigate the tumultuous waves of tween friendship, Nancy Rue has been my go-to author. She writes to my girls like the youth group leader I always dreamt would have time to invest in my daughters. She writes as someone intimate with the female tween because she raised one and has worked with these precious mini-women (her endearing term to replace the rather obnoxious tween) for over 30 years. I follow her on Twitter and Facebook and in March and April she had book giveaways. We connected through those giveaways and two weeks ago she sent me a box of books. She signed each one and wrote a special note in two books to my girls. Sometimes, when you have turned to an author again and again and suddenly she is sending you a box of book, you act a little silly, like you touched famous. I know Nancy is a mom, like me, with a gift for writing and understanding tweens. Still, I am beyond excited to bless you, my readers with some of these books from an author who has been so important in helping me raise my girls.

Moms' Ultimate Guide to the Tween Girls WorldIf you aren’t familiar with Nancy’s books, check out these posts.

Now about that giveaway. You have until midnight on Saturday, June 2 to enter. There will be 3 winners this time. Go ahead, let out a shout! You, my fabulous readers, could a copy of the Mom’s Ultimate Guide to the Tween Girl World, a pair of non-fiction books for your girl: You! A Christian Girl’s Guide to Growing Up and Girl Politics (full of facts, quizzes, and helpful guidance) or all 12 stories (recently released as six books) in the Faithgirlz Sophie series (target audience 4-6th grade). If you don’t have girls or the time when you need these books seems far away, never fear. You probably know some mom or girl who would love these books. You can bless a neighbor or girl at church with them! As always, winners will be chosen at random. The first winner, will get to pick which prize she wants. Then the second winner, etc. No person can win more than one prize. You must live in Canada or the US to enter.

Ohhh, missed the writing response prompt, sorry. My eldest really likes reading the Nancy Drew Clue Crew books and anything dealing with girl spies; my youngest likes her bible stories books and the Rainbow Fairies (gak! – not my fave but a gift).

Sonya doesn’t really sit for stories yet, but I have hope that eventually she’ll love to read like her brother !

Giveaways are always so much fun! And even more fun, winning something with value – not money value, but something that will help invest in your life (or the life of a daughter) 🙂

My 9 year old goes for books with girly-looking covers. Many of which I veto on skimming the content. She loves the Sophie series, & they have better advice on friendship & parent-child relationships than a lot of the books targeted to her age.

I would love to win this for my sister! So many of these books that Nancy has written is just for her age! Her favorite fiction book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

I’m so glad there is such wonderful books out like this to help preteens get through that stage!
