Homeschool trends and facts

August 19, 2013 in homeschoooling

Tomorrow I am back. And Amber will be here Wednesday. And I am excited to chat with you again. Until then, I saw this info graph and wanted to share–since we start up homeschool again on Wednesday, I thought you might enjoy these stats and background. Know, deep down, I believe schooling is a choice each family must make according to their needs and convictions. We did public school for 5 years and loved it. Our needs just changed. Regardless of how you school, this infograph is fascinating. ( And now I want to move back to Iowa where we could get tax credit for our homeschool costs and our kids could play on the local high school sports teams!)

In true fashion, I looked at the infograph before reading your intro. My thoughts exactly were, “That is fascinating.” Then I read your intro. 🙂
I am in awe of homeschooling parents. It sounds ideal. But then I recognize my limitations and know that my kiddos, who both have special needs, are in better and more patient hands at their private/gifted and public schools (for now). We’ll see what their futures hold. Looking forward to more posts, Laura!
